Under the leadership of Dr. Nathaniel Woods, Psy.D, MBA, ADHD-CCSP, an ADHD Certified Clinical Service Provider, we offer comprehensive and personalized treatment plans.

ADHD is a neurological disorder that affects people of all ages. It is characterized by symptoms such as inattentiveness, hyperactivity, and impulsivity forgetfulness, disorganization, and difficulty completing tasks. Some individuals may also struggle with time management, procrastination, and poor decision-making. It is important to note that not all individuals with ADHD experience all of these symptoms, and some may experience symptoms to varying degrees of severity. While medication is often used to treat ADHD symptoms, there are other treatments available as well.

There is a relationship between the frontal lobe and ADHD. The frontal lobe is a region of the brain responsible for executive functions, such as: Working Memory, Time Management, Regulation of Emotions, Planning, Forethought, Learning from Consequences, Organization and Reconstitution of Information. Individuals with ADHD often exhibit difficulties with these executive functions, and research suggests that there may be differences or abnormalities in the frontal lobe structure and functioning in people with ADHD.

One approach to treating ADHD is
behavioral therapy. This type of therapy involves teaching patients new behaviors and habits that can help them manage their symptoms. For example, patients may learn how to better organize their time, how to stay focused on a task, or how to control impulsive behaviors.

Another approach is
cognitive-behavioral therapy. This type of therapy focuses on changing the patient’s thoughts and attitudes towards their symptoms. By changing the way they think about ADHD, patients may be able to better manage their symptoms and improve their overall quality of life. In addition to therapy, there are also lifestyle changes that can be helpful for managing ADHD symptoms. For example, regular exercise, a healthy diet, and getting enough sleep can all help reduce symptoms of ADHD.

Therapy offers a supportive environment where you can begin to explore underlying thoughts and beliefs that are causing depressive feelings. Sometimes depression can occur due to difficult life circumstances, past trauma, genetic vulnerability, poor physical health, or other factors. In a safe, supportive environment you’ll learn how to understand your emotions, and where your feelings of depression stem from. Learning how to communicate with yourself by using a person-centered therapy approach will allow you to recognize how depression is affecting you and how you can feel better. We will place a focus on practicing self-empathy and use tools that you can use to create a healthier, brighter life.

As part of Skye Forensics, it is standard practice to objectively check up on areas such as memory, attention, reasoning, and verbal ability—all cognitive abilities you need to function optimally in everyday life. It’s not a test—it’s a quick checkup on how you’re doing today, like a blood pressure cuff for your brain.

Vyvanse And Adderall

Both Vyvanse and Adderall are stimulant medications used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. They work by increasing the levels of certain chemicals in the brain that help with focus and concentration. It is important to note that the choice between Vyvanse and Adderall should be made under the guidance of a healthcare professional, as individual responses to these medications can vary. It is important to note that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treating ADHD. Each patient is unique and may respond differently to different treatments. It is important to work with a healthcare provider to find the treatment plan that works best for each individual.
